Become a senior System Engineer at Insero Air Traffic Solutions (Team Airfield Lighting)

Insero Air Traffic Solutions
(Insero ATS) designs, develops, delivers, and supports mission-critical Air Traffic Management solutions for airports, remote tower centres, and Air Navigation Service Providers, covering data management, systems integration, and control systems for both manned aviation and UAS/drones.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the installation, configuration and deployment of Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring Systems (ALCMS/Insero RCMS) worldwide.
  • Perform scrum/project and task planning; collaborate from customer clarification through delivery and support.
  • Design, configure and deploy software/hardware solutions (incl. UI and system adaptation).
  • Execute system engineering, configuration/adaptation and testing for ALCMS/RCMS deployments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation/manuals for projects and proposals; plan and perform installations (system, server/PC, physical) and product maintenance.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a senior colleague who loves talking to customers, thrives in a friendly office community, and can keep a clear overview, even when things get complex. You’re curious, structured, and proactive; you spot risks early, ask the right questions, and turn moving parts into simple action plans. You enjoy collaborating across teams, sharing knowledge generously, and follow through until the job is done.

  • Strong IT/system understanding of complex systems (Windows/Linux, databases, network/IP, IT security, hardware/electronics).
  • Programming experience in C#/.NET with a systems/application focus.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with system overview and quality orientation; effective communication in Danish and English.
  • Willingness to learn and travel (~20–50 days/year) and to contribute actively in agile setups.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Security clearance required: clean criminal record and you/your household have resided in a NATO or EU country in the past 7 years.
  • Nice to have: experience with airside/airfield lighting, CCRs/PLCs, or other safety-critical industries and industrial automation/IoT.

Culture & Team

Insero Air Traffic Solutions leadership is built on trust, and our culture reflects it: teammates who are genuinely passionate, about what they build, about aviation and the domain, and about the community they share with customers and colleagues, as they navigate complex challenges. Work happens in strong teams with a pragmatic mindset and short decision paths.

The organization is flat with freedom under responsibility. New ideas and innovations are not just allowed here, they’re encouraged, backed by a shared team spirit that moves the business ahead.

There’s also a social side beyond work (nerd/gaming nights, occasional Friday bar, summer party, Beringstafetten, Christmas party, etc.). The facilities are modern on the 14th floor at the new Campus Horsens, right by the train/bus terminal and close to the motorway.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with company pension and a bonus program linked to company results.
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid setup (expected onsite minimum 3 days/week when not travelling).
  • Healthy canteen (company‑subsidized), medical insurance, free fruit, weekly team breakfast and several annual activities.
  • International environment with customers in Denmark, Ireland, Poland, Finland, Estonia, more to come.
  • Strong opportunities for professional growth in a demanding and ever‑changing domain.
  • Gazelle 2023 recognized among Denmark’s fastest‑growing companies.
